Background

I’m Ikram. My work so far has moved between venture capital, corporate finance, and the practical questions that come with helping a startup find customers and grow.

I enjoy numbers, but also the questions that don’t resolve neatly: who a business serves, what makes its market change, and how the numbers reflect the choices behind it. I’m especially interested in technology and investment across African and other emerging markets.

When something sits outside my field, I tend to learn by trying it. Lately that has meant building small projects around AI and, very much as a beginner, learning electric guitar.

What I’m exploring

Venture investing, financial analysis, AI as a research tool, and small things I can build to make analysis clearer. I like learning across disciplines and following a question until it becomes something concrete.
